This course reflects the role of an individual who performs a broad range of tasks on a variety of Light Vehicles in the Automotive industry. This course will cover the service and repair of mechanical, electrical and
electronic components and systems associated with light vehicle engines, suspensions, steering, braking, transmissions, ignition and electrical accessory systems and related components.

Entry Requirements

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

18 years or older upon commencement of the course.

Required to have successfully completed Year 12 or equivalent.

Required to have successfully completed an LLN test and demonstrate competence for all indicators to enroll for this qualification.

Required to have successfully met one of the English requirements:

    – IELTS: 5.5 (no band below 5.0)

    – TOEFL iBT: 69-79 (no band below 14)

    – TOEFL Paper: 523 (with a min. TWE 3.5)

    – PTE Academic: Overall 46 (no band below 40)

Note: Some assessment tasks are completed using a computer and the internet, and it is essential for the student to possess basic computer skills.

Credit Transfer

CREDIT TRANSFER (CT)

If you have previously completed a unit with the same unit code or unit title as in your new course, you may be eligible for a credit transfer and you may not have to repeat that unit.

You will need to complete a credit transfer application form, and provide a certified copy of the transcript of statement of attainment.

Applications for credit transfer must be made prior to the commencement of the course.
